Who We Are

Ma Lin

Coach

Ma Lin has won five Paralympic medals, four gold, in four Summer Paralympic Games, five world titles and eleven Asian titles in his sport.

He was named the 2013 Male Para-Table Tennis Star during the ITTF Star Awards in January 2014.

Ma lost his right arm at age 5, after he went to the zoo with other children and stuck his arm in a cage to feed a bear. He sustained a knee injury in the 2014 World Para Table Tennis Championships in Beijing.

Bo Xiao

Coach

Xiao Bo is a professional athlete from the Heilongjiang Province team, currently aged 43. He started playing sports at the age of 7 and was recognized as a talented player and a direct disciple of Kong Linghui's father. He was promoted from the Heilongjiang Sports School to the Heilongjiang Province team and was one of their main players, serving as the captain of the men's team. He achieved good results when he partnered with Kong Linghui to win fourth place in the team event at the National Games. After retiring, he worked as a coach at the Heilongjiang Province Children's Palace for many years before starting his own table tennis club. He has extensive professional knowledge and teaching experience, and will be one of the main coaches for our team, specializing in coaching intermediate and advanced players.

Yang Qian

Coach

Yang Qian OAM is a Chinese-Australian table tennis player who has only a right arm. Yang has won six medals - two gold and four silver in three Paralympic Games. At the 2020 Summer Paralympics, she won a gold and silver medal representing Australia.

Linlin Qi

Coach

Linlin is a professional athlete from the Heilongjiang Province Sports Team, currently aged 43. She started playing sports at the age of 8 and joined the Heilongjiang Province Sports Team for training in 1992 when she was 12 years old. In 1994, she officially became a member of the team and served as the captain of the Heilongjiang Province women's table tennis team during her time there. After retiring in 2002, she started her own table tennis club and has since taught over a thousand students across the country. She has extensive teaching experience with students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players.

Lina Lei

Coach

Leilina is an active Australian athlete who has joined the Scorpio coaching team. She entered the Jiangsu Province Table Tennis Team at the age of 13, becoming an official athlete of the Jiangsu Province Team. At the age of 28, she immigrated to Australia and has won the women's singles championship multiple times, representing Australia in various world-class competitions. From 2004 to 2020, she participated in a total of five Paralympic Games, winning three world singles gold medals!

Ravish Sood

Ravish Sood is an accomplished table tennis coach with 4 years of experience, including two years in Melbourne, Australia and 2 years overseas.

Achievements:

As a former national-level player, he has competed in prestigious events:

2019- Participated in North Zone National Games for GGSIPU in India. 2021- 2018 Secured 1st position in inter-university games for M.E.R.I College, Delhi, India for consistent 3 years. 2015-2018- Secured 3rd position in Zonal Games for DAV Public School, India. 2023- Secured 1st position in Inter Deakin Uni and Secured 2nd Position in Victoria Inter University Games.

Coaching for over 5 years: Adept at using easy understanding language to help students understand table tennis knowledge, with experience in teaching table tennis to children with autism. Led the team to win the third place in the Xishan District level team competition for primary and secondary school students in Yunnan Province in 2022, and the fifth place in the Kunming City level team competition for primary and secondary school students in Yunnan Province.
